size of a solar panel
Solar modules for grid-connected systems come in different sizes. In the SegenSolar portfolio you will mainly find PV modules with 60 or 72 cells. The size of 60-cell modules is approximately 1.6 m high and 1 m wide. Modules with 72 cells are slightly larger and are approximately 2 m high and 1 m wide. Which module size is best for your PV system depends on various factors, including the available roof area.

Visually appealing
The solar cells in a PV module do not completely fill the face of the solar panel, there is a small gap around the end of each solar cell. Each solar module has a back sheet in either white, black or transparent. A black PV backsheet usually looks better because it comes closest to the cell color. This combination creates a harmonious overall picture of the solar module. In the SegenSolar portfolio you will find silver and black versions of the frame color for solar modules. Depending on the appearance of the roof and the type of installation, you can decide together with the installer which backing film and frame color is suitable for the project.

cell types
A solar module consists of half cells, 60 or 72 solar cells. The size of each cell is approximately 125mm in width and height. You will find monocrystalline or polycrystalline PV modules in the SegenSolar module portfolio.
